Manufacturing Engineer
Supervise allocation of space within the plant and design of tools to achieve efficient arrangement of workflow and materials handling; support fabrication and assembly operations and service requirements, ensuring utilization of economical manufacturing methods; coordinate cost reduction efforts; direct and coordinate procurement and installation of manufacturing equipment; supervise manufacturing engineering and facilities functions; direct preparation of capital expenditure proposals for Corporate approval; coordinate strategy to enhance energy conservation, lead PACCAR Production System initiatives.
Skills Required:
Knowledge of lean and Six Sigma methodologies; strong interpersonal and organizational skills; demonstrated ability to successfully manage others; strong analytical ability; ability to work within deadlines to achieve goals. Strong gearing experience.
Education Required:
Five (5) years of progressively complex industrial and plant engineering assignments; previous experience in a machining environment desired.
Education Desired:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
