Manufacturing Engineer Supervisor

Evaluates, recommends and implements improvements in the areas of machining processes, facilites, production processes, production efficiency and other areas of manufacturing costs that support the objectives outlined by Management. Supervise allocation of space within the plant and design of tools to achieve efficient arrangement of workflow and materials handling; support fabrication and assembly operations and service requirements, ensuring utilitzation of economical manufacturing methods; coordinate cost reduction efforts; direct and coordinate procurement and installation of manufacturing equipment; supervise manufacturing engineering and facilities functions; direct preparation of capital expenditure proposals for Coporate approval; coordinate strategy to enhance energy conservation lead PACCAR Production System initiatives.

Skills Required:
Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies; strong interpersonal and organizational skills; demonstrated ability to successfully manage others; strong analytical ability; ability to work within deadlines to achieve goals.

Education Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.

Education Desired: Five (5) years of progressively complex industrial and plant engineering assignments; previous experience in a machining environment desired.
