Materials Manager 2

Develop policies and procedures to ensure production material availability in support of manufacturing schedules while obtaining inventory objectives; ensure the purchase of MRO supplies/services to support operations; direct supplier contract to improve/expedite vendor delivery performance, participate in the assurance of supplier quality objectives and the resolution of issues, develop programs to monitor supplier cost to meet set goals; ensure proper development and maintenance of information systems for material compatibility with computer programs; control movement of material; supervise and train assign staff.

Skills Required:
Strong written and verbal communication skills; strong negotiation skills; ability to manage and lead large department; ability to read blueprints. Thorough knowledge of material and inventory control; eight (8) to ten (10) years directly related experience.

Education Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field.

Education Desired: CPM certification desired.
