STEEL STAMPED SERIAL NUMBER
Steel Stamped Into Housing

Most BRADEN Worm Gear winches have a raised pad on the housing which is steel stamped with the model and serial number.

BRADEN Planetary hoists have the serial number steel stamped on the motor side, typically stamped into the top of motor end bracket or into the side base located to the left of the motor. The model number is located on a data plate located on the motor end of the base.

Gearmatic units do not have the model number steel stamped into the housing. Both the model number and serial number are located on a data plate typically located on the base of the unit.
(See illustration.)

Carco winches have their serial numbers steel stamped onto the front of the winch located on the top of the left mounting foot.
(NOTE: The front of the winch is the side that mounts to the crawler tractor.)
